Worksheets exist because reasoning done in your head tends to skip steps and cannot be reviewed afterwards. Writing the steps down slows the process, which is the intended effect, and leaves a record you can check against what actually happened.

Each worksheet ends with a field most templates omit: what you were unable to establish. A completed worksheet with that field blank has almost always been completed too confidently.
